The Postman brings Art

05/02/2010

Painting by Angela Hogan

Painting by Angela Hogan

This was a week of bounty.  Lovely things were bought to my door by the grizzled and rather humourless postman all  in one day,  a couple of items of which I had forgotten about. Needless to say it cheered up a grey and drizzly day.

First up was Angela Hogans wonderful painting that I coveted for so long and made mine, which is to hang in my living room. This is really a lovely painting which will go well with the Autumn shades that predominant downstairs. Thank you Angela.

Next, a  box of Fabriano Quadrato Artist Journals  (four of which have gone off to Canada to Jessica Doyle), two for me, and two for Jeanette House. They are utterly sumptuous and I think worth every penny. The paper inside is textured Conte paper for pencil, pastel, charcoal etc.  A good investment.

Last but not least,  my gorgeously fabulous postcards and print from Yuliya, and artist I recently discovered on Etsy. Her art is truly amazing. Great attention to detail, imaginative, and skillfully executed.

It was my pleasure darling. Only problem is, they are so gorgeous I am almost afraid to draw in them, as I feel my art may not live up to their expectations!
