When it goes wrong…

27/01/2011

Epic Fail!

It really goes wrong.

It started ok, and was sort of going where I wanted it, then it wasnt’….then it really wasn’t, then I got irritated, decided it wasn’t worth continuing anymore, tried to lift it from the drawing board, and *rip*. Fate made the decision for me. Oh well. Four months to go to show, better get a move on.

Epic Fail!

Yikes!! Yeah, you were definitely having a bad day…
I’m so sorry it couldn’t be salvaged, because it looked promising to me.
Maybe with this clean slate, you can channel some positive energy and focus. 🙂

    ((hugs))

      Hi there Tara..

No one to blame but myself. It was a shame as I had put some work into this. But, it had taken a wrong turn and I was losing heart. However, that said….I might have been able to do something with it. Had I shown more patience. Still…never mind, onwards and upwards.

Can I buy it for a reduced price? I’m not kidding! I’ve got a major use for it! It was going to be a stunner! Love your work!

Oh really? What did you want to do with it Carol? As I would rather give it to you than sell it. I am going to start again and sort of redo it, but better.
And, thank you very much for the nice compliment.

and the rip is a little bigger now. But still, it hasn’t ripped any more into the artwork.

if Carol is having it that’s fine, but I was going to say that surely you can salvage that! Surely there are postcard or ATC or bookmark sized pieces?

Actually Melanie..you are right, there may be at least one aceo in it, and a bookmark. I shall have a look at it later today.

I haven’t heard any more from Carol, so will see what I can do with it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey, just seen your message on Facebook… I’ll see if I can remember what I said! 😀

It was something along the lines of… Despite it being ripped it’s still art (I mean, I’m sure you’ve seen some of the things that are considered art these days!). It’s a lovely piece of artwork and I’m sure you can rescue it some way or other.

The rip kind of reminds me of a book I once read where some kids ended up in a painting. They wandered around the foreground and when they made their way to the background they found a tear in the painting, which they climbed through, ending up in a whole new world behind the painting!
