So, what did I do for Royal Wedding day? Well, I am not a Royalist, though I was interested from a historical perspective. So, I spent the day rebuilding Illusio Creative.
For a long time I have been dissatisfied with the portfolio CMS that I was using and it’s limitations, and was unhappy that both my Portfolio and Blog were entirely separate for many reasons. So, I migrated the WordPress blog into the main root directory, deleted the old portfolio CMS and the blog directory, installed a new theme that I purchased from an excellent designer on Theme Forest, that incorporates a Portfolio and Gallery feature, plus lots of other nifty stuff, and spend the day configuring and customising it. So, now my portfolio and blog are not separate, but all under the one directory and makes for much easier navigation. I am very pleased with the result, and it should improve my traffic and ranking.
A good days work. So, I decided it would be my #17/52 weeks feature on my personal site, Illusio.net as well, as it was a big achievement.
