Week 23, out with my lovely, shiny wonderful new camera. This was part of a batch of shots I took in a field near where I live.
Now, I had had only a quick look at the manual, but only in as much as how to attach the lens etc. Interestingly, the hardest task when putting the new camera together, was attaching the bloody strap…everything else paled into insignificance compared to that particular conundrum!.
Anyway, we stopped off on the way home and wondered into a gorgeous field of flowers next to the village of Aldingbourne, and I took some shots of the flowers and Orla. I used the aperture setting, worked out how to set the white balance, focal length etc, and exposure and got on with it. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised how easy I found it to work out how to adjust the settings manually. The layout and geometry of the 550D is very intuitive, and I am…happy. These shots are taken with the 18-55mm lens.
