Well, yes…it is. The trouble is, I can never get my opening piece to reach my expectations. And, I am in danger of denuding an unused sketchbook entirely. I need to get a grip, I really do.
Why not abandon the first page entirely and save it till last? I always get stuck on introduction pages. I just dive straight in to whatever I want and avoid the horrid things.
Actually Lianne, I have done that before. Not quite left it till last, but left it for a few pages until I get into the groove of a new sketchbook. I don’t know why it’s such a big deal, because these days, unless I share on my blog, no one actually sees my sketchbooks now but me. And of course, when you blog them you can put them in any order. I think it’s indicative of my level of obsessiveness about these things. One of my old tutors, Polly Taylor told me I was ‘too precious’ about my sketchbook work and that was when I was 19!
yes. BUT. A nice clean sketchbook with perfect illustrations is sooo much better.
XD

Nice to see you btw. x

Nothing I love better than a blank page!
I do too, I just don’t like the ‘first’ blank page. 🙂
