A Collection Past and Present

24/10/2011

I wasn’t able to include as much old work as I wanted, so it’s more ‘present’ that ‘past’. I may redo this at some point. Anyway, it was fun, hope you like it…

I love the detail your work goes into. Like the leaf in brown- such fine detail. It looks like such a simple image but then it has those little threads of movement running over it. I could imagine so many of your pieces transferred into heavy damasks, flocks and silks. There’s a rich decadence about them that would translate very well I think.

Ps- you’re so brave being on YouTube. The oikes and comment trolls scare me from being on it.

Well, thank you Lianne, what fabulous feedback on my big ole leaf. I haven’t done any autumn themed art for a while, perhaps I should, and do some new stuff. I have some new postcards of my autumn leaves I STILL haven’t listed in my art shop (despite getting them printed months ago), and if it’s a nice day tomorrow, I will shoot them and list this weekend.

As for fabrics. Well, other than Spoonflower, there are some UK based venues where I can have my designes printed onto fabric that are online, and in fact a friend of mine who makes fabulouse hats whose shop is called ‘Moaning Minnie’ wants to do a collaboration. So, have been thinking about that for a while.

As for Youtube. Naaa, Trolls and **ckwets don’t bother me. If they want to be mean, let them…that’s what the ‘delete’ button is for! ;¬)

      Thanks for dropping by sweety..
      xx

      Hi there Jen..

I also finally put together the sketchbook page of my portfolio. I love working in my sketchbooks, more than anything else I think.

The shoe actually started out life as a doodle some years ago. It’s available as an A5 print in my art shop.

      Cheers for stopping by…
