Lomo Love Prt. III – Chichester Cathedral.

Chichester Cathedral

Some of the more successful shots I took in late November using my Diana Mini around Chichester Cathedral and the Bishops Palace. You can see the rest of the album on Lomography. These aren’t as good as the very first batch I did, and I think it’s because I am using cheaper and poorer quality film. Lesson learned, that free Jessops film  for every roll may seem like a good idea, but…not always.

To all my friends and loved ones.  Can’t say that I am sorry to see 2010 go, a thoroughly shit year for many, and including me. Trying to remain hopeful that 2011 will be a better year in the face of certain hardship thanks to the current Tory government. But still, I remain optimistic and determined to achieve as much as possible.

The end of Kodachrome

Yes…it’s true. Dwayne’s Photo, whose last ever Kodachrome lab in the US that was still in use (or anywhere in the world in fact) processed the  last roll on the 30th December, 2010.  So, if you aren’t old enough to remember, what is Kodachrome? Kodachrome is the trademarked brand name of a type of color reversal film that was manufactured by Eastman Kodak from 1935 to 2009. Kodachrome was the first successfully mass-marketed color still film using a subtractive method, in contrast to earlier additive “screenplate” methods such as Autochrome and Dufaycolor, and remained the oldest brand of color film.
