Last month (see blog post) I entered the Inkygoodness Beermat Character Competition. There was an fantastic response to the contest with entries coming from all over the world displaying an amazing array of creativity and ingenuity.
Do have a look at the Inkygoodness Flickr stream to see how good they were. They were so good, in truth I didn’t think I stood much of a chance. It was great fun to participate and very interesting to see all the different colourful, complex, wacky, quirky and diverse entries coming in. When the announcement was made that judging was under way and the winners were being announced, I was very excited to see who had gone through.
So anyway, how did I do, did I get anywhere, Well…YES!!!! Amazingly one of my designs was selected from over 300 entries for inclusion in the forthcoming UK exhibition. I didn’t think I had got through because I didn’t hear anything, then I was reading through the winning announcement on the Inkygoodness Competition Winners blog post and lo and behold I see my name!! Hurrrrah! I got my notification email about an hour or so later. Pleased? I’ll bloody well say so, and I can’t wait for the exhibition in London near Christmas. *woop woop*. Very happy….
