So, we left Cornwall a week ago, and already it seems like ages ago now. Despite the lousy weather, family rows (needless to say) and having spent a lot more time indoors than we would have liked, it was still lovely to be there. Polperro as ever, retains it’s rustic charm.
We didn’t do all the trips that we had planned, though we did manage a trip to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, which was every bit as gorgeous and interesting as I had hoped. Sadly, due to back issues, I was not able to walk around all of the gardens, but Luke and Orla did. I think she loved the jungle and Mud Maid best. What shots I managed to take will be uploaded at some future point.
From here on, in it’s now all a mad rush until Christmas (did I really say that?), as Luke’s job becomes ever more demanding and Orla starts Year 6 of Primary school today (sniff). This will be her final year before she moves up to High school. Feelings on this are mixed to say the least. Excited as I am for her and what’s to come, I am sad that my little girl is growing up so fast.
Still, as I said…lots to look forward to for both of us. Her swimming is coming on in leaps and bounds, she is at Guides (loves it), attending Youth Theatre (ditto on that) and I start my Ceramics course on the 22nd of September (super excited). I will be blogging a lot more in the coming months and showing more art.
Onwards and upwards. Later all xx
