Greatings all, and a belated Happy New Year. Welcome to my 2020/21 Reboot.
So, 2020 was a weird one for us all, and 2021? Well, all bets are off. For me, 2020 was going to be about life changes following certain personal events in 2019, and which started a train of events that led to some big life decisions. However, some of those life changes were, like so many, imposed upon me and were even more bizarre than I could have imagined. Many of my own plans for the year had to be shelved naturally, and life became about adapting. I was still able to pursue some of my plans, but many were not tenable, and still may not be this year. Again, it was and still is all about adapting.
However, one of the good things that came out of last year was, that I started drawing regularly, having had a five year hiatus, but not as a consequence of Covid. Despite having abandoned drawing a few years ago, I did of course take up ceramics in 2015, which was in part to get me creating again. Alas though, ceramics have been more difficulat to pursue lately with my family at home 24/7. But, I did a lot of sketchbook work last year (I have pretty much done with finished illustrations and canvas pieces), took part in Inktober 2020, and started creative writing.
I rebooted my Tumblr blog after binning over 2000 posts and ten years worth of content to use it for posting recent illustration work and to post any writing I do. As this site is faily anodyne in content, I felt I wanted a place I could be edgier. I am also doing more photography, though that is somewhat hindered at the moment by lockdown.
There is more I could ramble on about, but I think that will do for now. I am no longer updating my Facebook page, but can be found on Instagram as well as Tumblr.
Stay safe, stay well.
