Happy new year to you all. Hoping for happier and more peaceful times for everyone, everywhere.
It’s hard to know what to say about this year. There were no significant highs, or lows. No great breakthroughs artistically speaking. Still struggling with mental health and artistic block, like so many others. But, working on it. Spent most of my energies last year helping my daughter navigate her Illustration course, which is both gratifying and enormously frustrating in equal measure.
I deleted both my Twitter and Facebook accounts after 15 years. Was it a wrench? No, not even a little bit in the end. I am still on Instagram for the moment, and have found my place on Mastodon. Fairly happy with both the Mastodon instances that I have, though I may move at some point, we shall see.
The world is a more troubled place than ever, and life is one of unrelentingly uncertainty. One counts ones blessings and tries move forward. This year I plan to create more art, take more exercise, write more, play my flute, work on my brain and appreciate what I have.
