Simple really. There is no where else currently on the web where you can post content without there being some kind of hidden agenda, and your information and data being used to further someone’s ends. This is the only place currently on the web where people are actively engaging with each other, and pursuing a meaningful dialogue. This is the only place on the web where the creators and designers are actively involved with their users. In the short time I have been on Ello, I have made new friends, found new artists, gained access to new and exciting work, and seen a lively, exciting and thought provoking interaction and dialectic.

Happy New Year everyone… In terms of creative output, 2014 was a very quiet year for me. I rarely blogged, and did little drawing or painting. That’s not to say I did nothing at all, but I just didn’t feel like drawing. I had lots of ideas, but little impetus to do much with them. So, instead of beating myself up over it and fretting, I did other stuff instead. I read, a lot. I wrote in my journal, I spent time with my family.

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago (seems to roll around very quickly these days). In terms of celebrating we kept it pretty low key as we have a lot going on all of us. I had already been treated to my new phone (the fabulous Samsung Galaxy Note3) by my Luke, BUT I also got a new pair of Dr Martens (they are gorgeous), and a couple of books, one of which I bought myself and one bought by Luke. However, it’s not often I spend money on myself, and really only happens on my birthday. These days the majority of my money is spent on my daughter (naturally).
