New Work + Old Influences

Random Practice: Old School

I was looking through some old finished drawings and sketchbooks from college and university, and found a selection that had been influenced by Paul Klee and Braque, I think in fact I used both artists as a basis for a design brief. I also found some fashion design presentation drawings that had been executed in an art deco style, again a design brief, so I decided to revisit some of those ideas. Here is a small selection of drawings influenced by, well….me. Random Practice: Old School Isograph pens and ink, Faber & Castell Pitt pens and Faber & Castell polychromos pencils on A5 heavy weight smooth cartride paper.

New Work – Psychedelic Splat

I am a lazy artist, and have a backlog of new work which needs scanning. Some illustrations, aceos etc. So, I decided to get on with it. However, I hate scanning and (and subsequently cleaning for prints), but…forced myself to get on with it. Here are a couple of offerings. One is a hybrid of ink and prismacolor markers on A4 heavy weight smooth paper.
