Amorphic

Amorphic: Acyrlic and ink on 8x10 deep edge canvas

This was one of the pieces I did for the Cobnor Writers Retreat (pics to come), which was part of my theme of the sea, and the flora and fauna within. Wave

Can’t believe I forgot to blog this, I must remember that not everyone looks at my facebook page ;).  Anyway, here are two finshed paintings ready for varnishing, and to be included in ‘Against the Tide’ (Oxmarket Centre of Arts: 13th – 25th June). Both have been painted with acrylic paint and the detail added in ink on 14×14 and 10×10 deep edged canvas.

Centric Diatom

Created specifically for ‘Against the Tide‘ at the Oxmarket Centre of Arts (June 13th to 25th) in Chichester. Acrylic on 10×10 deep edged canvas. Very nearly a ‘fail’ and abandoned, but I managed to pull it back. The segments were quite hard work. Bleding with acrylic paint on the canvas is quite tricky, much easier on water colour paper (natrually) or with oil paints. Quite happy with it in the end.
